Single Effect Evaporator

The evaporator consist of 3 units :

• Vertical tubular pre heater
• Liquid vapor separator (Evaporator)
• Vertical double pass condenser with receiver and automatic condensate discharge system.Operation:
  • The liquid extract from extractor or extract storage tank is automatically pumped or fed to the bottom of pre heater by applying vacuum to the condenser. The level of the liquid is adjusted to the center line of the view glass on liquid vapor separator.
  • Once the liquid level is adjusted start steam to pre heater adjust the temperature up to 80 to 90 degrees and open vacuum valve to adjust the rate of evaporation. The rate of evaporation should be such that the excess foam generated should not come into receiver. This can be monitored by a vacuum release valve given on the liquid vapor separator.
